Hello, I’m Kristin.

I am a Midwest photographer based in Michigan and I adore capturing the emotion of life’s special moments on digital + film. I am a devoted wife, mother, and artist currently living and homesteading in the Michigan forest with my family.

Born and raised in upstate New York, I began cultivating my deep reverence for the art of photography & the natural world at a young age while spending summers in the Adirondacks at my grandparents lake house.

In the sunroom there, the wall is completely filled with an endless sea of collage picture frames, displaying wholesome moments from years gone by. The nostalgia of that room can hold you still in your heart there for hours, reveling in the magic of memories.

Recognizing the extraordinary potential that exists in a simple photograph, I became inspired to collect moments in an artistic way. Those photos still remain and hold a tremendous power when we are seeking the face or essence of a loved one who is gone. I want to create a genuine connection for you with your photos, so that you may relive each precious moment or memory, and share them with generations to come.

My father began his photography journey in his home country of England at 12 years old, developing all of his film himself in his homemade darkroom. He inspired me to start shooting film by sharing his passion for the medium, teaching me the basics, and gifting me his Nikon FE2. For me, film is pure magic and fills my artistic soul like no other medium has. Receiving my final scans and viewing the elegant way in which light and shadow, color, and emotion filled moments render on film is one delight of life I simply will never tire of. I currently shoot a mixture of medium format and 35mm film alongside digital in all of my work. I hope to share this love I have for the beauty of film with you, too, by archiving special moments of your life for you to cherish forever.
