Hello, I’m Kristin.
I am a Midwest photographer based in Michigan and I adore capturing the emotion of life’s special moments on digital + film. I am a devoted wife, mother, and artist currently living and homesteading in the Michigan forest with my family.
Born and raised in upstate New York, I began cultivating my deep reverence for the art of photography & the natural world at a young age while spending summers in the Adirondacks at my grandparents lake house.
In the sunroom there, the wall is completely filled with an endless sea of collage picture frames, displaying wholesome moments from years gone by. The nostalgia of that room can hold you still in your heart there for hours, reveling in the magic of memories.
Recognizing the extraordinary potential that exists in a simple photograph, I became inspired to collect moments in an artistic way. Those photos still remain and hold a tremendous power when we are seeking the face or essence of a loved one who is gone. I want to create a genuine connection for you with your photos, so that you may relive each precious moment or memory, and share them with generations to come.
I am honored to be entrusted with capturing the legacies of my couples. I approach documenting your day with great care and respect, knowing that when you sit down and peruse through your wedding album, all the joy and emotion will be preserved for you—clear and palpable—there to transport you back in style to one of the most special days of your entire life. My documentary style ensures that each wedding gallery will be abundant with digital + film imagery that captures details both large and small of the authentic emotion, connection, & jubilant celebration unique to each couple.
I believe in facilitating a comfortable & safe atmosphere that encourages you to freely be yourself—giving rise to an environment where magic happens naturally and effortless imagery flows forward. I will always guide you into the best light and pose when necessary, while encouraging each moment to unfold naturally.
